Depeche Mode’s Andy Fletcher Dies at 60

The music world is mourning the lack of an icon. 

Andy Fletcher, the keyboard participant and founding member of Depeche Mode, has died on the age of 60.

His fellow band members introduced the tragic information on Could 26, sharing in an announcement on Twitter, “We’re shocked and stuffed with overwhelming unhappiness with the premature passing of our expensive buddy, member of the family and bandmate Andy ‘Fletch’ Fletcher.”

Their assertion continued: “Fletch had a real coronary heart of gold and was all the time there whenever you wanted help, a full of life dialog, an excellent chuckle, or a chilly pint. Our hearts are along with his household, and we ask that you just hold them in your ideas and respect their privateness on this tough time.”

A explanation for dying was not given.

The British digital band was based in 1980 by Fletcher, Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Vince Clarke. Fletcher was a devoted member of the band for over 40 years, spanning from their 1981 debut Communicate & Spell to their most up-to-date LP 2017’s Spirit
