Estelle Harris, who famously performed George Costanza’s mom on the ’90s sitcom Seinfeld, has handed away. She was 93 years outdated.
The actress died of pure causes in Palm Desert, Calif. on Saturday, April 2, Deadline reported, including that her son, Glen Harris, held her as she handed away. “It’s with the best regret and disappointment to announce that Estelle Harris has handed on this night at 6:25pm,” he advised the outlet. “Her kindness, ardour, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love had been virtually unmatched, and she or he can be terribly missed by all those that knew her.”
Jason Alexander, who performed her son on Seinfeld, paid tribute to Harris on Twitter, writing, “Certainly one of my favourite individuals has handed – my television mama, Estelle Harris. The enjoyment of enjoying along with her and relishing her superb laughter was a deal with. I am keen on you, Estelle. Like to your loved ones. Serenity now and all the time. #RIPEstelleHarris”
Their co-star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who performed Elaine Benes on the present, tweeted, “RIP Estelle Harris. I like you. #serenitynow.”
